The ESP32 Rainbow was a success - was it worth it though?
What did I make? It’s a really nice recreation of the Sinclair Spectrum using full colour UV silk screen printing and capacitive touch. The brains is an ESP32-S3 and it’s got a built in display and speaker.
Pretty nice, right? Well, enough people thought so that I was able to successfully crowdfund the project.

Given the quality of the item and the time you've put into it, I'd have been happy if you'd made 10x or 100x what you did in the end. Hater's gonna hate - let them see if they could build their own for the same price point 🤣
Thanks Chris, I'm glad you made some cash out of this venture. The ESP32 Rainbow is a nice machine. I've spent a few hours with it since I got it. I still have a lot to learn. I never had a Z80 back in the day. This is an opportunity to re-live the glorious days of my early computer experiences.
