Given the quality of the item and the time you've put into it, I'd have been happy if you'd made 10x or 100x what you did in the end. Hater's gonna hate - let them see if they could build their own for the same price point 🤣
Thanks Chris, I'm glad you made some cash out of this venture. The ESP32 Rainbow is a nice machine. I've spent a few hours with it since I got it. I still have a lot to learn. I never had a Z80 back in the day. This is an opportunity to re-live the glorious days of my early computer experiences.
I would second and third the earlier sentiments. I think it is an honor to participate in an endevour like this where it scratches a long held itch (I missed out on the original). Besides the emulation capability, there is a lot more this rig can do. I would make an interesting platform for Meshtastic (with the addition of a LoRAWAN module or Bluetooth connection to one). It would be interesting to use with amateur radio digital modes.
As I said before: if you “go there” again, count me as more than interested to see what you’re up to and probably willing pre-order (with the caveat that I do have a small window of things I would not be interested in).
This sort of transparency helps to make the best parts of the maker community better. I love the board and been having fun with it, hope you can sell a few thousand and make it more financially rewarding ( although I know that was not the point )

I already finding z80 files I didn't know existed as gave up on the spectrum when I passed my driving test in 1987.
So was a early adopter from the onset
